About

As almost everyone my first project was a website talking a bit about myself. It was the regular “Hello my name is Gordon Casper. Do you like my website.” kind of thing. Everyone who has particular interest in computer starts off with such website. This little project was created when I was 13. I started to learn the basics of HTML which was enough for me quite a long time. Moving on to CSS occurred about a year later when HTML no longer covered my needs. I had several versions of website, the last one can be assigned with code number 4.0 as I jokingly put version number on each of my sites.

About another year later at approximate age of 15 I found interest in programming language since clockwork of software was always a mystery to me and trying to understand it was one of goals to achieve. JavaScript was my first experience with programming. Naturally I wanted my site to be more interactive and not just sit there and stare at you. Every site needs a content management system which I didn’t want to believe however PHP was an inevitable step in my knowledge, today I don’t see a possible way without either of the above languages to be frank.

To the real deal I got when turned 16. As said before my goal was to understand the clockwork of any software and so another step had to be proceeded. With my background of JavaScript and PHP knowledge there was not a problem with understanding any other language therefore I had to choose a new one. Why was my choice C++? Well, it is low level, it is extremely powerful and has very clear syntax. I have to state that from all programming languages I know, I like C++ the most by far. My home system was Windows therefore my software programming started with Win32 platform.

Pretty much as anyone who knows something about computer, has to have some experience with graphics and design. 2D graphics is my priority but I got also some experience with 3D modeling. I enjoy work in this field pretty much along with photography which is rather a hobby than a regular job to me.

At age of 19 I looked into Flash / ActionScript which was kind of another step into programming even though with my programming background it was rather minor step. What I really enjoyed about Flash was its flexibility. With Flash, programmer no longer has to worry about how does it all really work, it simply does and that is definitely the strongest aspect of this limited yet powerful scripting language.

Well that is pretty much about myself. Thank you for reading, I hope I stated the most important facts and if you have any question or queries please see my contact card
